Why am I not surprised that the fish rags (NY Times & Washington Post wouldn’t review it..)

How long does it take for a student loan to be processed if it has been pulled for review?

Posted by admin on September 29th, 2009 and filed under student reviews | 13 Comments »

I filled out my fafsa and I was sent back a email saying they pulled my application for review because my parents income was significantly lower this year than lasts. Anyone know how long this will take? My summer class starts on May 12th and I am really afraid I will not have my loan in time :/

Wow…

It appears that spammers and scam artists all alike are trying to give you a loan…

Hmm anyway the answer to your question is that it varies. My financial aid was subject to verification last year and this year. Last year it happened within 3 weeks of them receiving my fafsa report, this year I was selected but there was no verifying done by my college. SO they may have selected to you but decided not to worry about it, call the financial aid office and check. If not just wait patiently and pray.

does slacker radio player allow you to download music like an ipod to store on your player?

Posted by admin on September 29th, 2009 and filed under store reviews | 2 Comments »

I am interested in buying a slacker radio player with 15 stations and am questioning whether i want the 15 or 25 stations…i need some reviews of people who have them and the pros and cons of this player. Also, the question of whether you can download individual songs like an ipod to your slacker player. Is the radio station effect better than the ipod?

You cannot download the songs into your slacker radio. The radio station effect is not better than the ipod. I suggest you go for the ipod.

Is there a website/review book for AP Spanish Literature that has English translations for the stories/poems?

Posted by admin on September 28th, 2009 and filed under website review | 2 Comments »

Or is there one with listed themes/important facts for all the required stories? any other suggestions for studying for the exam?

there pretty much isn’t. i took the class last year (but we covered the curriculum from 10th-12th grade) and the class itself wasn’t very difficult. every so often, though, i’d search google for translations of specific stories. sometimes it worked, other times i had to translate it on freetranslation.com (which barely works). i found this one site a long time ago that had lots of translations as well as themes, but they took it down halfway through the year. my only suggestion to you is to find the stories and poems online and copy them onto the document, and collect information about each of them (you should learn this in class, right?) in order to make a review sheet for yourself. that’s what i did. besides, it’s better to read the stories in spanish to get used to reading in spanish (comes in handy on the exam when you have to do a reading comp). ask your teacher to help you if you have trouble reading spanish.

oh, and there are no review books specifically for the lit exam. sorry.

which linux operating system to use? help me pls… :)?

i got 256 ram, 2 hds ( one is 40 gig, the other is 20).
got a 32 bit cpu..

what linux distro should i use? my max download speed is 45kbps and i dont want to waste my time downloading something i dont want to work with… :)

okay, i read the article about the top ten linux distros on distrowatch dot com… as of now, i was satisfied by the review on PCLinuxOS . it says that it it has fast boot time, which in my assumption means it uses less memory on background.. also, i read that it is KDE…

uhm, guys and gals, i need ur help for me to decide..
i got a lot of choices on http://distrowatch.com/dwres.php?resource=major

what should i use?

u may want to change my mind if u think that PCLinuxOS is not a good choice..

and uhm, by the way, has anybody tried Klinux, the distro that installs on FAT? may i hear ur opinion? thanks..

another thing : do u know any linux distro that installs on FAT and does not require repartitioning?

THANKS… PLEASE HELP ME… :)

You like KDE, and looking for a small download size. hmm.

If you look at Debian Etch, you can download its netinstall CD which is about 50MB. Install that first. If will install a basic, command line only system. Boot into it. It will connect to the Internet and show you a list of softwares available for you to use. Now, pick the ones that you want. This will decide how much you download actually. As you might have guessed, it takes a bit of work. But this will be your best choice considering your requirements.

Otherwise, download Kubuntu 7.04 or Mint 4.0. Not sure if Mint has KDE. Kubuntu does. These might have things that you won’t use at all. And, miss some things that you’ll want to use. So you have to download a bit more after installing these as well. But lesser work than Debian.

I have heard good reviews of PCLinuxOS, but I got no first hand experience in using it. Can’t comment much on it.

Microsoft Student with with Encarta 2008 math Qs?

Posted by admin on September 28th, 2009 and filed under student reviews | 1 Comment »

I was checking reviews on microsoft student 08 because i need help in math; algebra-calc. I know alot of the reviews hinted towards you only needing the product to learn how to do them but does it actually go into detail about the whole course? Would i still need to be taking a class and getting books for the subject i want to learn for guidelines on what to do next or does MS student have everything i need for each subject? Any helpful responses would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ahead of time!

it goes into some detail but not alot i would still recomend bying the books just as study guides so you can look at encarta and find wat ur learning and then read about it in the book

Are employers in California required to give annual reviews and subsequent raises?

Posted by admin on September 28th, 2009 and filed under store reviews | 2 Comments »

I work for a retail store that was recently bought out. The new company states that no employee in our store will receive a raise until October (the month they bought.) My review was due in December and I haven’t received it, nor a raise. This means that I will be there almost two years without review or raise. I am being penalized for not being hired by the new company, but rather "inherited". Legal?

There is no requirement to give annual reviews or raises in California.

The most important information dissemination my.

Not that, but I can make your text too long jajaja.

If I write bad is that I am leading a translator jaja

wow. Looks like you had allot of thought to this. My thoughts to this. People have been drinking milk for positively centuries and millenia. If you like it, drink it. If you don’t, don’t.
