How can I get local press and reviews for a jewelry store that’s soon to open?

Posted by admin on January 27th, 2010 and filed under store reviews | 1 Comment »

My family is opening a jewelry store and I’d love for a local blogger, or editor or critic to come to our business and write a review about our store so that we can be locally recognized. I don’t know how to go about this but what sources should I look for in order to have someone write about us? Thanks

Although you would have to pay something for it, you might find a local public relations firm that can handle this for you at a reasonable cost. This is what they do day in and day out. They have the press contacts, etc. to get the information in the right hands. It is a worthwhile investment, instead of trying to go on the cheap which may have mixed (if any) results.

Is there an online resource to help review my small business?

Posted by admin on January 27th, 2010 and filed under business review | 3 Comments »

My business is about to turn 2 years old. I’m in a position where I can continue with my business or take the easy road and get a regular job. My current salary is about $35,000 / year and I could make about $80,000 / year if I was working for another company.

Now, how to get the business to take off?

I finally have passed quite a few hurdles that have been holding me back, including having enough experience and testimonials to acquire business. I manage practically every part of the organization (Sales, Service, Customer Support, Quality Assurance, etc).

Does anyone have an online resource for small business owners?

It is hard to look at my business objectively since I am so deep into it. I feel like a common sense checklist or article could really do me some good. Thanks for any advice…

I suggest that you spend a bit of money and have a business consultant go through your business with you before you make the choice to return the work force. If you have had your business running for two years now and making some money it might be better to find a way for you make more. When a small business owner does all the work for themselves they tend to loose money. It may cost you in the beginning but in the long run it is better. If you want to contact me through here, you can I am business consultant and I will give you some tips. Good luck.

Is it legal to review about a product in my website, without the permission of the product manufacturer?

Posted by admin on January 25th, 2010 and filed under website review | 2 Comments »

I about to start a new website, which reviews Retail Consumer Products. Do i need any special permission from the product manufacturers to review their product in my website.

it’s legal to review it if you’ve actually bought it, used it, and aren’t making anything up about it.

How to make a video game review website?

Posted by admin on January 24th, 2010 and filed under website review | 1 Comment »

Ok me and my freinds really enjoy discussing video games. And I was thinking that we should make a video game review site. Like IGN and whatnot. Can someone explain how to create a website? And I dont mean those sites that give you fake websites. Like freewebs.com. I mean a real website.

You could go to http://weebly.com and very easily set up a website. You can do the same at http://business.blinkweb.com , http://jimdo.com and http://synthasite.com

For an even more professional looking website (has no forced ads or text links like the others) you can try out http://webhost.com . If you wanted to blog on it, you could install Wordpress on there.

What are your reviews about the toyota FJ cruiser or the Kia Seoul?

Posted by admin on January 24th, 2010 and filed under auto review | 3 Comments »

I am looking out to buy an suv and i love the FJ cruiser but its out of my budget range but i really like it. what about the kia seoul? it looks really cute. can any1 tell me any reviews about these autos? any reviews!
and tell me your suggestions on a good SUV. i wnt a good looking one with good mpg.

I would recommend that you stick with something inside of your budget. Cars are not something smart to splurge on, because they lose value so quickly. A house or an investment maybe, but not a car.

That being said, I actually own an FJ. I have a 2007 4×4, which was the first model year. The only problems I’ve run into is that the 2007 models had thinner paint than newer models (prone to chipping from road debris), and the near vertical windshield is going to deflect much more sand and rocks than a normal car, so you’ll see pitting much earlier than normal. The mileage is 17-21 average. In town, it’s a bit lower, on the highway a bit higher. It probably averages out around 17. The early models did much better on premium gas, so it’s certainly not a vehicle to get if you care about the price of gas.

I can’t speak to the KIA, but I know a large number of FJ owners, many who pound the snot out of their 4×4s off road, and there aren’t any significant design or maintenance issues outside of what I mentioned above that owners are upset about. Reliability has been extraordinarily good, and maintenance is easy enough that I do nearly all of my service myself.

Best way to find out more is to visit online forums devoted to those vehicles. You’ll find out what the Kool-aid drinkers hate about their vehicle, and also get good tips from them on what you should expect to pay to get a good deal. fjcruierforums is a good website that I used to buy and research mine.

Congratulations and good luck with the store opening.

There are few things you can do depending on your local area. First find out about all the local newspapers and magazine that serve your area. Buy few copies from the newsstand and contact their editorial department or send them a presskit or a press release.

If you have a larger budget then you can plan an opening party and invite all the local press to visit your store. Also try to think of any newsworthy ideas about your store, family, product you sell, charity support, etc.

Besides the print media you can also sign up at local directories such as Yelp.com, CitySearch.com, etc.

Call a reporter for the local newspaper and ask if she will interview you. This makes a great story for the Saturday edition when news is slow and people have time to read about you.

If that works, offer to appear on the local tv station’s morning show at 6am. Bring some jewelry with you. If they like you, they may invite you back as a regular.

grand tourismo 4 over grand tourismo 3…hmmmmm ???

Posted by admin on January 20th, 2010 and filed under top ten reviews | 1 Comment »

hi,im thinkin of buyin grand tourismo 4 for my ps2…but ive read reviews sayin gt3 is is one of the top ten games for the ps2…has anyone had both or played both..what do u think i should do????

Personally Gran Turismo 4 not only has the graphics but the cars and everything about the game is more authentic and realistic BUT it feels like something is missing. GT3 has a lot about it and is the favourite of all racing games personally. It has killer cars and killer gameplay after all these years.

Hope this rounds up your decision.

How do you fish with the Zoom Baby Brush Hog?

Posted by admin on January 20th, 2010 and filed under review zoom | 5 Comments »

I’m looking for some good soft baits and have read good reviews on the Baby Brush Hog. Does anyone use these lures? How do they perform? Any advice on rigging and usage would be appreciated. And also i greatly need to know if they float.
Would i be able to rig the Zoom Baby Brush Hog like a shaky head worm and fish it shaky head style?

They sink slowly, about like any other soft plastic bait.

As you can see, we use it in many different ways. Texas rigged, on a dropshot, wacky style, shakey head, and Carolina rigged. I use a similar one made by Bass Pro Shops brand and instead of rigging it like everyone else, I use it as a trailer for jigs. It works.
