2008 2009 Ford Focus. In a field dominated by imports, the Ford Focus proves domestic manufacturers can still build an affordable, reliable and highly efficient compact car. Available as a stylish sedan and sporty coupe, the Focus wears a number of faces, from frugal econobox to well-equipped touring car. Great gas mileage is only part of the Focus story, however, as the car is also loaded with a long list of standard comfort and safety equipment, as well as such innovative features as the SYNC audio system. I just bought a ‘10 …
I just bought a ‘10 Focus Coupe SE that’s loaded… I never thought I would buy an American made “car” – truck, yes. So far so good – I really do like this car a lot! The ride is very nice for a car this size, it takes the bumps and pot holes like a much more expensive car. The engine is a bit noisy when you rev it – but it’s quite other wise. I’m a huge Toyota fan – but I gotta give Ford props on this one! It looks like the American Auto makers are FINALLY catching up!!

Yeah but what about …
Yeah but what about all those workers for GM. All those people would be out of a job. If they didn’t have jobs they would be milking money out of the economy from unemployment. I’m not trying to one up you, there is just always a lot of different ways to see things.

Please don’t think …
Please don’t think that I don’t care about our precious manufacturing industries.
However, living in the west coast, I hardly see any kind of benefits, whatsoever, from these beer-guzzling fat retirees of big threes. I’m essentially asking, what have these fat retirees done for me, lately.
After living comfortable lives producing half cars, they screw up, and where do they go for help? Us. They want us to bail them out. That’s a bum deal, in my book.

Yes you are right. …
Yes you are right. But you also have to remember that they are the only domestic car maker who isn’t in need of a bail out. Their company is huge in europe and all over the world. Your buying a car that is american made from a company whose lively hood in the next 6 years is ured.

Can anyone tell me …
Can anyone tell me why you’d want to buy any Ford cars, knowing that Ford is in the hole for $4 billion in their enormous pension fund? Guess where they will get the money from? That’s right! We, as customers or taxpayers, will have to pay part of their 4 big ones, that will eventually to towards feeding Ford’s fat retirees, who probably retired from making all those very nice Pintos and Escorts.
Do you still want to contribute your hard earned money to feed fat retirees? Not me.

My red focus with …
My red focus with lots of chrome…I love it!!And my first trip from Michigan (where it was born) to NY I got 38 miles to the gallon. (Pushing the button to take off overdrive on hills and in cities and coasting to red lights and taking off smoothly). I also love that I can turn it off and the radio will keep playing for 10 minutes. The suspension is superb and I like putting the back seats down to fit long stuff in the trunk. My first car was a honeygold mustang–1st year it was made. FORD!!

I have driven the …
I have driven the cars they’re talking about, and I completely disagree with them that the Focus has any more vibration or harshness that the Fit or Versa, It’s simply not true. The Versa is nothing more than an uncomfortable go-cart! They didn’t compare the Corolla or Civic, because the Focus blows them away in every category. The seats in the Focus are more comfortable than any in the compact group.
When you stomp the pedal to go around trucks with the 2.0 Liter, it kicks !

I move cars for …
I move cars for Hertz, so I get to drive all makes. I’m here to tell you that the Focus blows away the Corolla and Civic. It handles and rides better, has better power, and feels more dependable in traffic. I’m not biased, but only impressed with the new Ford autos.
Before you go down and plunk down the cash for an import, give Ford a try and see for youself.
GM and Chrysler have quite a way to go to be considered, but the Fords are superior!

I have a 2009 se …
I have a 2009 se sedan. everyone is entitled to there own opinion but i think these things already have to much in em. I cant count how many car accidents i see everyday, I sometimes wait up to an hour each time in lines of traffic and it all es me off. Cars are made to get you from point A to point B anything more then that is a clear distraction.

We Americans do …
We Americans do have a good taste in cars and almost all people that have seen the european focus agree that it is a much more stylish and better car. It finally looks like that the executives at ford are finally going to get it right and they will be producing the european focus in the states next year. I drive a 2007 ZX3 and can’t wait to see the new ST and RS models driving around US Streets.
