Magellan roadmate 800 auto-routing GPS reciever reviews?

For those who have used this product, what do you think about it? Are you happy with your buy? I need a GPS that can be used not only in the continental US but also in Canada (at least the eastern side -closest to Alaska-) and Alaska. If you have any other suggestions, please lemme know. I need to be able to download maps and have a decent battery life for if/when I use it outside of the car when not pluged into the cigarette lighter.

Magellan is ok, but they are the number 3 seller for a reason.

You’ll like a garmin a whole bunch better and with their flexible database system you can equip it with as many countries as you like.
