Your best bet is to post a response to the review, even it is not from a real customer, and tell them that you are willing to do whatever it takes to make them happy. This will show other potential customers that you care about customer service and your business. If you can prove that the review is fake, or violates community guidelines, you may want to contact Yelp and ask that it be removed.

How do I completely delete all traces of a Yahoo Local business review I wrote?

Way back on 4/2009 I reviewed a company using Yahoo Local and several other review sites. The company noticed my bad reviews and offered to resolved the problem if I deleted the reviews. So months ago I deleted all the reviews on all the sites, I even deleted the cached page search results on every website but Yahoo.

However, when I search for the company using Yahoo Local it still shows the review, even though the review no longer exists.

How do I completely delete all traces of this Yahoo Local business review that I wrote?

Some have said, “Just wait, it will disappear eventually”. But It has been months already, it’s not just going to disappear.

The Real Answer is that this can be done, and was easy on every site but Yahoo, so the question is, by who and how?

I would appreciate a real solution, so please provide answers accordingly.

I have deleted cached pages in Google and Bing but never in Yahoo.

So I would also like to hear a more technical answer than "Just Wait" myself!

If his remarks are true, try to resolve the problem and have him remove the comments. If they are false and you can prove it, go see a lawyer.

I’ve posted a bad review but was never threatened. As long as you were truthful, you should have no problem. Read their rules and terms of service for guidance.

By the way, how would they ever know who truly made the posting? They have to serve you and how are they going to find you? In court, they have to prove you were the person behind the keyboard.

First, work out how you are going to get paid.
Then look at how you will get the punters to pay you (and how much, and how big the market really is)
Then look at your costs and the legaistics involved.
Until you’ve got that kind of information (and lots of it, you can’t build a business plan, and if you don’t have a business plan, you don’t need a limited liability company

Trust me any kind word review is always welcome .. just be careful if you are slamming the company .. now that is a whole other story
