Choosing domain name for dentist review website?

Posted by admin on November 26th, 2011 and filed under design review | 1 Comment »

Hey everyone. I want to design site about dentist reviews.

I am thinking about using following domain www.checkdentist.com
Do you think it is good domain for dentist review site? Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks!
There is just one paid site that provides this very specialized information droogle.com http://www.doctoroogle.com. All other sites do not cover this topic as much as they should.
Do not worry about domain idea. It is already taken, but I would like to know if you think it is good domain for such site?

Well first of all, thanks for giving away your amazing idea. Now someone can totally usurp it and do it themselves bigger and better.

And secondly, can’t people already just rate the whitepages and yellowpages ads on dentists we visit…?

Web design ideas for a retro game review site?

I’m stumped, being aesthetically retarded and having the creativity of a gnat, even knowing what good pre-designed template to rip off is actually a struggle for me. I am uncertain of what to go for here. I know roughly the mechanics of what I want to implement, programming, or at least, installing the back-end system for storing articles and front page news, etc, isn’t a problem, I’ve just been chronically crap at design since forever.
I don’t have a scanner. Will MS paint do?

Uhm, tell me a color scheme, draw a layout on a piece of paper then scan it and send the image to me, and (You can write PHP/SQL backends well?)

I might be able to help..

What would be a good title for a article review on the Boy From Oz musical?

I saw the show The Boy From Oz live the other night and now for an assignment i have to write a review on the designs and techniques used. What would be an eyecatching title for this article?

"Oz-some!"

Why does TripAdvisor and all other hotel review websites have such bad design!?

It’s so frustrating. It’s one of the busiest websites I’ve seen in the last few years. It’s as if the website is prostituting itself to me. Surely, the can afford a good designer to re-think their design standards. Do you seriously need ads, banners, three different places to book hotel rooms on the same page, and so many exclamation points? ugh.

Some people automatically ignore all ads if there are too many. I think they’re hurting their business a little bit more but they must think they’re helping themselves more with it. who knows.

It’s simple yet bold. I honestly love it!
Even though I’m into many different colors splashing against each other, I love this.
Good luck and great job.

Nice!
The color scheme fits perfectly with the theme.

I would have liked to see some pictures reference to music, since the poster is for it.

What do you think of Gordon Glover’s "review" of Intelligent Design issues by means of his satirical interview?

…..of a spokesman for the "Intelligent Alien Intervention Institute" (portrayed by himself disguised just enough to be funny)?

digital design Z review please.?

Posted by admin on March 25th, 2011 and filed under design review | 2 Comments »

i was looking on ddaudio.com and i happened to click on the Digital Design Z car subwoofer well while i was reading the specifications it is said the rms/peak "do you really have to ask.." i am guessing this sub hits? i am looking into buying a new system for my Cadillac escalade EXT and i have been told Digital Design is the way to go.

a few of my concerns is..

1. does the sub hit extremly hard? (good if it does)
2. 2 15" will do the job?
3. what kind of amp?
4. what head unit i should buy?

i want a pair of subs that people can’t compete with and i was wondering is Digital Design could do that.

Haven’t heard a Z personally…But I have the 9512g series DD…and it hits and hits well!
Just to give you an idea of my Personally subs…
I’ve owned a RE Audio XXX 12".
Fi Car Audio BTL 12".
JL Audio 12w7
JL Audio 12w6v2
Phoenix Gold Titanium 12 D Elite 12".
Phoenix Gold Titanium 15" (two)
Phoenix Gold RSDc 12" comp.
Cerwin Vega Stroker 15".
And a handful of others not worth mentioning.
These aren’t listed in any particular order.
But to say the least, I’ve tried a bunch and the DD audio 9512g is the one installed.
I love my DD audio sub. Re Audio xxx and Fi BTL were decent subs as well.

From all the reviews I’ve seen/heard, the Z is by far one of the best puppies out there. And they do come with a heft price.
2 15"’s? Should be nice…depends on what you want to do?
Want to make heads turn and people pissed off? probably so!
I do alright with my single 12.

As far as amps go….those subs should spank like crazy…I’d stick with some companies like Cactus Sound, Sundown Audio, US Amps, Etc…

Head unit, boils down to preference. Looks of the screen…Outputs/inputs….etc.

What kind of information do you expect from a travel review site?

Posted by admin on February 5th, 2011 and filed under design review | 3 Comments »

I’m planing to design a travel review site about my country. There are many sites but I wanna make something different.I’m going to include information about
1.Food and dinning
2.Cab service
3.Places
4.Beauty parlors
5.Shopping
If you are a traveler what kind of information are you looking for before you visit a country and after visit there.I’ll be very grateful if you could drop few lines to improve my site.Bcoz this will help many people who is gonna visit Sri Lanka.thanks

you have to add hotels also. and it’s important that when it comes to hotels and restaurants, you don’t write about expensive ones only, cause when i notice that in a site, i close it immediately.
put also some pictures from google earth or google maps as that really helps. and of course, put the average cost for everything you mention.
write also what the currency is, time zone, what the people are like and maybe some basic sentences in that language like "please" and "thank you".
and when you say places, you mean like sights to see? for every point, you should put a picture and/or a link for a site. also, write some activities that maybe one could do.. of course, putting the price and link there too.

You lose the E on the very end. The background doesn’t speak to the subject matter very well.
