a web site that looks like this http://www.specialonlinebusinessreviewauthority.com/
and i can put my own affiliate link..
is this a word press plugin or what was use to create this

Hi! I wouldn’t bother trying to copy this web site’s layout as it is crap. The index page goes on forever…surfers do not like to have to scroll down pages..it puts them off. The only time they will do it is if they are looking for something in particular. It also has a really infuriating pop up window; when this happens on a site I am looking at I close it down and move on.

Look around a lot more – there are really fantastic sites out there that will inspire you.

Good luck.

What are some good schools for website design that don’t have horrible reviews?

Posted by admin on August 26th, 2010 and filed under design review | 3 Comments »

I’ve looked at Academy of Art, Devry, and plenty others that have horrible reviews and barely any that have good reviews. They don’t offer web design at CSU’s or UC’s and it’s been frustrating to think I might have to choose one of these schools with bad reviews like Devry heald or ITT etc. Please help all web designers out there that have already been through this.

Maybe you need to look using broader terminology.

Here’s a program at CSU Monterey Bay called "Communication Design". It includes Web design as a component of the program. http://itcd.csumb.edu/

Understand what it is you want to accomplish. Do you simply want to obtain a skill that will be out of date soon after graduating? Or do you want to become an educated person, with communication skills, critical thinking skills and a better understanding of the world you live in?

There is also an art program at CSU East Bay with a Web design component: http://www.csueastbay.edu/ecat/current/u-art.html

If you want to pick up some Web design skills cheaply, start looking at your local community colleges.

A to F

I’d say B+, if only for the fact that the rainbow doesn’t make a strong connection to Edison or the what people know about Edison. Also, there’s no information about when or where this even is. Even if this is just a conceptual poster, if the even was real, you’d have to find a way to work that information into the design, which depending on how you choose to display that info, can affect the whole design.

Need review of my Design work, thanks?

Does Westwood College have a good game design program?

Posted by admin on June 30th, 2010 and filed under design review | 2 Comments »

I am in the process of applying for Westwood College for a BA in game design. I have read several reviews, and I know all about their controversy and lawsuits. However, reviewers for their game design program seemed to give better review than the rest, and their free re-training for alumni is certainly a very valuable asset.

Thanks for your question and interest in Westwood College! I wanted to pass on some links that might be helpful. These are real graduates who wanted to share their experiences and stories about Westwood. You can also check out our gaming site for more information about the program.

As for our accreditation, @CAT is incorrect. Westwood College is accredited by two separate national accreditation agencies: ACCSC (Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges) and ACICS (Accrediting Council of Independent Colleges and Schools). Because our accreditation is fully recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, students have access to federal grants and loans. Nationally accredited schools are required to meet and maintain rigorous standards of educational excellence and quality assurance. Help juggling: review, 3d modeling, website design or writing & reading?

Posted by admin on May 6th, 2010 and filed under design review | 1 Comment »

hi there, i have lots of things to do in my life. just graduated this year, and this mere enthusiasm of mine muddles in my mind: it seems i am overwhelmed. i do not know/sure which to prioritize.

just started my reading regimen and i found myself fond of books: pdf, a handy book and audible; all of which i handle at a time. as a matter of fact, i have a long queue of pdf books in my pc, all phenomenal.

late highschool when i started learning web design (with superficial programming), a thing i do not want to abandon, but it appears this skill of mine is becoming stale, have to catch up since i have been gone for a long time (2 years).

in the near future, i have to take up the board exam to earn my license. obviously, i have to review religiously; i do not have the tenacity to take the exam without going back to my previous lessons.

lastly, 3d expertise is required on finding a job; most firms look after it. this means i have to revive this skill. it has been quite a long time since my last modeling and rendering.

every time i am overwhelmed, i can not help myself to procrastinate (if not, results are mediocre, due to lost of focus.)

- Career expertise should probably be your priority

What are the best Graphic Design & Photography schools?

Posted by admin on April 15th, 2010 and filed under design review | 2 Comments »

I’m an international looking to study in Photography (and or Graphic Design) in London, and we’re going to be going on visits this coming June. The two schools that I’ve found that look interesting are The Royal Academy of Art & The University of the Arts, London.

Could anyone let me know about any other intense Art schools? I’m looking for a strong photography program and a strong design program.

Your personal reviews really help! Thank you

Hello,

I’ve studied Graphic Design in London and I can tell you that The University of the Arts, London is the best choice, I think you should also try to send an e-mail to UAL asking for intensive summer programs or similar.

Hope it helps,

Best Regards
