they have offered me a full ride and I know nothing about them. I looked at their website already, but I would like reviews from students or people not obviously biased.
Full ride as in free? Or as in lots of loans? it does make a difference because you will have to pay back those loans.
As for the school, it is an accredited not-for-profit private school. It is rated as #61 for regional colleges in the Midwest – which is okay. Looks like you can decent education there. Apparently almost all applicants are accepted but of those that attend, only 51% return for their second year. That can be because they found other places they like more, or more often because the school gave them a chance and they just couldn’t handle college.
I couldn’t find student reviews – just the school’s comments.
Your call
What is that one website where it is free and you can go in and see actual reviews that students posted about their university campuses?
rate my proffesors is a site that has teachers and im pretty sure they also have universities as a whole where students write reviews… type it into google cause i dont know exact url.
Ever since I’ve discovered ratemyprofessor.com I’ve been using that as a deciding factor on whether or not to take a class from a prospective professer I’m considering.
Is that bad? Do you do the same thing too? What do you do when it comes to university reviews?
Having been in some horrible classes where the web ratings reflect that as well as some classes I thought were great where the web ratings disagreed. . . I take things with a grain of salt. One has to remember that the people who dislike something/someone are much more likely to make the effort to complain about it than their opposition — that’s just basic human nature.
Back when I was still taking classes that had multiple sections, this was all fairly new. . . so I can’t say it really affected my decisions much. I’d check them out more to see what people had said about professors I didn’t like because they clearly were in the profession to do research rather than teach.
As far as what other people say about universities. . . I’m about the same way. What I’m looking for isn’t necessarily what everyone else is looking for, so what other people think may not mean anything.
At the beginning of the semester I was offered 8,000 in student loan money. I reviewed my budget needs and only accepted 2,000.
Now a month into the semester, I have ran into financial difficulties and need a little extra money. Am I able to get a second installment ( this semester) since I haven’t reached my 8,000 limit?
i think you should ask that to where u had taken that loan. they that support community definitely help you ============
I’m interested in seeing what the students have to say about their colleges rather than the usual factual information.
Thanks
I’d recommend checking out princetonreview.com. You’ll have to sign up for an account to get that kind of information, but it’s free. There are real reviews from real students on the site.
i was just wondering what people’s thought of a class or a professor before taking it….
for example if its confusing, boring or too easy ….fun etc….
thanks

Just remember that those responses are made up of only the most extreme perspectives. Students who LOVE or HATE a professor will take the time to review, but the multitude of students in between won’t bother.
Consider also that those responses have NO credibility. Imagine them as if you saw them written on the bathroom wall. You have NO WAY of knowing if those responses are genuine students, from multiple students or even from the professor’s colleagues. Consider what grade the writer likely received before deciding how heavily to weight their comment.
After coming across several reviews with Student’s names, schools, period and teacher name I guess I was a little surprised. Maybe it’s because there was no Amazon.com when I went to high school in the eighties, but this seems a little odd to me. Is this the equivalent of a formally written book report? Have you ever been assigned by a teacher to write a review on Amazon.com– or if you are a teacher have you ever assigned this? Is this a common thing? I’m just curious.
I’m a student in high School, just finishing my freshman year.I didn’t go to Public School this year, but I still find this to be an interesting question.
I’ve never been assigned to post something on the Internet, but that kind of thing is an example of how interaction with the real world is being integrated into education. Our education system changes with our technology in the same way our mindset does.I went to the public school system in Central Florida, but my educational experience there,in my opinion, has been one that didn’t go far enough in integrating the newer technology and media that arose in the last decade.I would guess that making students post reviews on amazon.com would create a further step in their interaction with the Internet.
For College Age Students. What good and bad reviews so I can know what is the right choice I should take?
If you need the reviews for Maimi Hotels and Cancun Hotels check here.

I was looking on studentreview.com at Flagler College, and some of the negative reviews are REALLY AWFUL!
How valid is this site, anyway?
It’s really making me worried…for Florida Gulf Coast University, too. The reviews for Eckerd College as far as academics were pretty good.
So does anyone have any opinions about these colleges? And about the trustworthiness of studentreview.com?
Thanks.
FGCU is a good school. Its not as big and popular as the other state school but little by little it is growing. Don’t listen to the reviews because there just a few people and just because they had a bad time doesn’t mean you will.
Collegeweeklylive.com is a website where you can chat with representatives from the schools and ask them questions(on the given day they show up) It helped me feel a little bit better about my choices.
I’m no ivy league student and i attended an expensive university to say the least it sucked. So now I’m at a community college. I’m looking at other schools now and when I look at students reviews they all seem to suck. Now I begin to understand why so few Americans have degrees. It makes me want to give up too!
Well, I think it depends on what you are looking for in a college and your major, and the college’s location. I think that an education is worth the money if you are getting the skills and knowledge you need out of it. I would go to princeton review, especially the student body part, and see which colleges have the atmosphere that you are looking for and have the academics too.
Out of curiousity, which college sucked so much that was so expensive?, and what didn’t you like about it?
Regarding the student reviews, there are always people that don’t like their school environment. Liking a school and learning is an individual thing and is based on what you like and how you learn.
Determine what you want in a school atmosphere wise, academically, geographically, then see what schools offer that and would match your GPA and qualifications. Good luck!
