Purchase your catalytic convertor at a parts store. They are very expensive and a shop will charge you a mark up on a new one. Then take the convertor to a shop and have them replace it for you.
You can replace it yourself if you’re mechanically inclined and have the tools. The only draw back is the pipes get rusted together really bad and are very difficult in getting apart and normally require a torch to heat them up to remove them.
