I have been planning to go to columbia in chicago for a while now
i am in my first year of college at IU and planning on transfering to columbia
for my sophmore year for film and ive bin so fixated on the school since i heard mnay things about it and aall my friends in my tv class in HS is there. But then i recently started doin deeper research and found that columbia has mixed reviews and is not even in the top ten film schools. Then i found vancouver and saw that it is very legit with only one year programs.
Since it is lil too late to apply to vancouver im trying to find the best strategy to get there?
should i finsh my sophmore year at columbia with some film work, then transfer?
or get my BA then transfer for special effect or another field?
or shuld i just stay at columbia?
Or stay at IU save up for a camera and make my own stuff without school?
if anyone has been down this road of film or any alumni or anyone with expeierence with this can help me, it would be greatly appreciated?
What do you plan on doing for a living when you get this worthless degree? Taco Bell?
Maybe you can put on a clown suit with red rubber nose and make videos for parents at McDonald’s Birthday parties. You get bigger tips if you let the kids honk your nose.
You need to get serious and find something else to study — especially if your parents are paying for school.
